Two authentic shrine icons from the priesthood of Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. These rare, heavy and ornate pieces of brass are sacred to the fresh water river deity & mother goddess Yeye Osun. As the life force of fertility, fecundity and feminine love; she calms children, generates prosperity and neutralizes negative forces with the golden energy and minerals present in brass. To marginalize the description of Osun's energy to mere words would be a great disservice to her and her majestic presence within water, life and creation.
